Fantastic little shop and I say this as a vegetarian! I purchased some seafood for my boyfriend and the server really kindly answered all my questions, teaching me a lot.
If the kind lady who served us is reading this, I hope she will be pleased to know my boyfriend successfully managed to open the oysters (without injury) and I managed to prepare the mussels for him which he said were fantastic.
The shop also has an amazing little display of artworks and cards, predominantly by local artists. Every time I’m in Orford I can’t leave without buying something. I’d fully recommend a visit.

So exciting to find the Pinney Equivalent of a food truck loitering just off the Quay at Orford this August, with Lobster rolls, smoked fish selection boxes, smoked salmon cream cheese bagels, deep fried whitebait and freshly shucked oysters, it was beyond our wildest dreams and the perfect break from some crabbing or mucking around in boats.

I didn't eat there, but have bought several of their Suffolk hampers as gifts. They're fantastic and the service has been exceptional. I would definitely recommend as a present for any foodie friends.

Delicious selection of smoked foods. We bought smoked oysters, trout, salmon and mackerel. The shop also sells fresh fish on the counter (including unopened oysters) as well as a selection of local and English produce. It is quite pricey but it's worth it! Nice location by the quayside!
